A smart thermostat saves money only if it's wired and configured for your equipment. We see a lot of DIY installs where a two-stage furnace is running on one stage, or a heat pump's backup heat kicks on every morning because the thermostat doesn't know the outdoor temperature.
We install the thermostat, add a common wire if your old one didn't have one, set staging and lockouts for your system, and connect it to your Wi-Fi and phone. If you have a heat pump, we set the balance point so backup heat only runs when it's actually needed.
We'll also set a reasonable schedule. For most Halden homes, dropping 6–8°F at night saves about 8% on heating without making mornings miserable.

Common questions
Will a smart thermostat work with my boiler?
Most will, with a simple two-wire setup. Some older millivolt systems need a small adapter. We'll check before you buy.
Can it warn me if the heat fails while I'm away?
Yes. We set a low-temperature alert, usually at 55°F, so you know before pipes are at risk.
