Cooling in Halden, MN
Summer in Halden is short and humid, and most homes here were built for heat first. We size cooling for the house you actually have: the sun-facing rooms, the finished attic, the upstairs with no return duct.
Our cooling techs are EPA 608 certified for refrigerant work. We find leaks before we add refrigerant, and we tell you when a repair isn't worth it on an older system.

AC repair
Most AC calls are a capacitor, a contactor or a clogged drain. We carry all three.

Cooling: common questions
How long does a central air installation take?
Most replacements take one day. New installs in homes without ductwork, or with a mini-split instead, take one to three days depending on how many rooms.
Why is my upstairs so much hotter than downstairs?
Usually it is a missing or undersized return duct, not a weak air conditioner. We check airflow room by room before recommending new equipment, and a ductless head is often the cheaper fix.
Do you still service older R-22 systems?
Yes, but R-22 is expensive and no longer made. If an R-22 system has a leak, we will usually recommend replacing it rather than paying to refill it.
Not sure what you need?
Tell us what the system is doing, what it sounds like, and how old it is. A dispatcher will tell you whether it sounds like a repair, a tune-up or something to watch, and book the right technician.
