Radiant floor heat runs warm water (or electric cable) under the floor, so the whole floor becomes the heater. It's quiet, even, and ideal for Halden basements where concrete floors are cold until June.
Hydronic radiant uses PEX tubing in a slab, under a subfloor, or in thin panels, fed by a boiler or water heater. It's the most efficient choice for large areas like basements, garages and additions. Electric mats are simpler and cheaper for a single bathroom.
Timing is everything. Tubing in a slab must go in before the pour, and under-floor installs are easiest during a remodel. If you're planning a project, call us early and we'll coordinate with your contractor.

Common questions
Can I put radiant under wood floors?
Yes, with engineered wood and the right water temperature. Solid hardwood can be done but needs more care. We'll talk with your flooring installer.
Is it expensive to run?
Hydronic radiant is one of the most efficient ways to heat because it runs at low water temperatures. Electric mats cost more to run but are fine for a single bathroom.
Can I add it to an existing floor?
From below, if the basement ceiling is open. Otherwise it's usually part of replacing the floor.
