When the heat goes out at −20°F, you have hours, not days, before pipes start to freeze. Call (555) 014-2200 any time, including holidays. You'll talk to a person in our Halden office, not a call center, and they'll give you a real arrival window before you hang up.
On very cold nights we dispatch in order of risk: homes with infants, elderly residents or medical needs, and homes with no backup heat go first. We'll tell you where you are in line.
While you wait: check that the thermostat is set to Heat and above room temperature, the furnace switch (it looks like a light switch) is on, and the filter isn't clogged. Open cabinet doors under sinks on outside walls. Don't use the oven or a grill to heat the house.
Signs you need this
- The furnace isn't running and the house is cooling
- The furnace runs but blows cold air
- Water heater and furnace both went out at once
- The indoor temperature is dropping below 60°F
How it works
Call (555) 014-2200
A person answers 24/7. We'll ask a few questions and walk you through basic checks.
Arrival window
Our target is on site within 4 hours. We call when the tech is 20 minutes out.
Diagnose and repair
$89 diagnostic, credited to the repair. Most no-heat calls are fixed on the spot.
Temporary heat if needed
If a part has to be ordered, we leave electric heaters at no charge until it arrives.
Common questions
I smell gas. Should I call you?
Leave the house first. Don't flip switches or use your phone inside. From outside, call 911 or the gas utility, then call us.
Can I get a time instead of 'sometime tonight'?
Yes. We give a two-hour window when you call. On the coldest nights the window may start later, and we'll tell you honestly how late.
Do you really answer on Christmas?
Yes. Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving. Two techs are always on call, more when it's below −10°F.
